Sermon: A Man after God's own Heart

Pastor D teaches about King David the greatest King of Isreal, often referred to as a Man after Gods own heart. While David was blessed among men, he too commits a significant transgression that affected his kingdom in many ways; but more importantly the sin impacted his relationship with God, fracturing his joy. In the midst of sin, David got what he wanted but lost what he needed. David, repentent, understands the magnitude of his sin and  wholly and completely renounces it, pleading for Gods mercy.

David recognizes that a contrite heart is the beginning of the restoration of joy.

This therefore, is a significant characteristic of a those who are seeking God's heart.

Sermon: Rahab The Harlot

tie this cord of scarlet thread in the window through which you let us down, and gather to yourself into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father’s household.

Pastor D teaches on how we as sinners, mired in our ways; absent in our faith, lacking in our consistency, woefully and willingly unreliable - that even we are not beyond the reach of God's touch; His healing and His blessings. We see an example of this in the story of Rahab the harlot; whose conversion was supernatural, immediate and validated through her works, sealing her within God's Amazing Grace.

Sermon:Putting On the Right Equipment

Guest Pastor Larkins preaches about Pauls’ instructions on what, why and how we should to arm ourselves when going through the expected trials and tribulations of believers. He notes that we are valuable to the enemy. The enemy wants us to fall so that we would be doers of his bidding. Therefore, we need to take on the whole armor of God in an effort to protect ourselves from the shrapnel that the world is sure to fire our way. Excellent teaching.
