Pastor D teaches about King David the greatest King of Isreal, often referred to as a Man after Gods own heart. While David was blessed among men, he too commits a significant transgression that affected his kingdom in many ways; but more importantly the sin impacted his relationship with God, fracturing his joy. In the midst of sin, David got what he wanted but lost what he needed. David, repentent, understands the magnitude of his sin and wholly and completely renounces it, pleading for Gods mercy.
David recognizes that a contrite heart is the beginning of the restoration of joy.
This therefore, is a significant characteristic of a those who are seeking God's heart.
