In this sermon, Rev Larkins speaks on the example Paul set as a witness. In the midst of our walk, fraught with strife, we need to press. When times are good, things are going our way; we need to press. Our walk ought to be such that others are strengthened by our example. When we are guided by the standard of the Lord we ensure the furtherance of the Gospel and serves as evidence of the blessing of the Gift. These are the standards that manifest when the believer sincerely presses towards the mark of our high calling.

I’m Simply Standing

Guest Reverend Joe Larkins preaches about the special “thing” that dwells within us. Despite our bodies being earthen vessels; the Holy Ghost has been given to us to live inside of it. This is how – despite our being pressed on all sides, distressed, perplexed and cast down – we are able to get through the challenges of life. We as believers ought to be able to testify that thanks be to the Lord; that when times are at their worst; we can still stand on His promises.

We can’t understand God’s plan for our lives. What we can understand though, is that God’s extraordinary intercession can not occur if we are not living our lives for Him. While we tarry in ways that are not of His direction; we can expect the ordinary. But moving in His direction; abiding by His calling, and using that which we already have to His glory - that which is in our hands - we can expect the Extraordinary.
