Sermon: Thirst In The Church

Thirst In The Church

Pastor preaches on the need for fervor in our faith. Thirst in the Church.  The world serves as a constant drain on our faith. Little by little, our exposure to the world dulls our passion for God’s truth. Even though we know we are being worn down, we acquiesce to ways beneath Gods standard – only to find ourselves casual and weakened to the point of sleep.  And while the church sleeps, the enemy is at war – resulting in casual-ties.

The Church’s need for God must be urgent. The most important thing for believers is to always be reaching for God; it must be our absolute thirst for the Lord.  Praise the Lord.

Scripture Psalms 42, Judges 16, John 7:37

Sermon: Persistent Prayer

Persistent prayer
Pastor shares todays word from God. Our reality is that we must  pray unceasingly. The enemy loves for us to stop praying. We get weary, we get frustrated, and ultimately discouraged. But our faith compels us to pray in spite of these temporary times.
Our prayers are to be persistent no matter the circumstances, the timing and regardless of our current states of being.  We need to wait for God’s intercession because His time is the right time for us.  Our duty is to trust God, but not idly. We need push – Pray Until Something Happens.

Wonderful teaching.

Sermon:The Persuaded Christian

The Persuaded Christian
Pastor preaches on our charge to live a meaningful life through the persuasion of faith. Fortunately for us, our access to the Love of God  is not broken by life’s tribulations, distresses, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword.

And thankfully, God’s Love for us is not based on anything we do, nor is it based upon how we conduct ourselves as a result of these situations.   Indeed, we ought to be faithful in spite of ‘circumstances’.   We are persuaded, steeped in faith allowing Jesus to reign.   We must ask ourselves: Am I persuaded today?

Blessed be the Lord.

Sermon: Lord show me, Me.

Pastor teaches about the consequence of our condemnation. Jesus admonishes that the judgment we apply to others is surely to be placed upon us. As believers, we ought to watch how we think and speak about others. True introspection should reveal to us that we are incompetent to evaluate someone else’s situation and/life. Additionally, if we are honest with ourselves, we might find that we are struggling with the reflection of our own circumstances – projecting it on others. Indeed, when we are judgmental we miss our opportunity to be a blessing to others and we give the enemy exactly what he wants.

When we judge, we are looking outward; but God wants us to be looking inward, thus we ought to be praying consistently: Lord, show me, me.

Powerful, reflective teaching, Amen.
